Baby Alexander

Yep, You guessed it. Another baby on the way!!!! This was a complete surprise and shock to us (okay we know how it happened, but we still didn't think it actually would). We found out a couple of weeks ago, but decided to keep it to ourselves until the initial shock wore off. Zack is super excited, and I must admit I wasn't very excited at first, but now I am starting to get excited. I just keep thinking how fast can you potty train a 1 year old?!?!
I have been having the typical first trimester symptoms.... VERY tired, and extremely hungry all the time. Knock on wood... no "morning" sickness yet.
I saw "it" for the first time at the doctor and that is when reality set in. You can't really imagine that you are pregnant until you actually see it on the ultrasound.
Even though this was unplanned we know God has a great plan for our family!!!!

October News

I can't believe it is October. Where does the time go?? I just finished giving my first 9 weeks exams. Most of my students did very well. Zack just got a scooter and he is super excited. He looks so funny riding it in his scrubs. I am busy planning Dustin's first birthday party!!! We have having, what I thought was a simple party, on Oct 25. It turns out that this simple party is very complicated. How much stuff do we need for cake and ice cream!?!? Dustin is amazing us every day with his new milestones. He is saying "mama" "da da" "bye bye" "uh oh" "duck" "dog". He LOVES dogs and gets so excited everytime he hears or sees one. He is tring so hard to walk. He takes a few steps and then realizes what is happening so he falls down.
I will post some pics soon of Zack on his scooter.

Finally, a new post

I know it has been a long time since the last post. It just seems like the day is gone in an instant.

To sum up what has happened the last couple of months:

Zack: He is still attending Darton to get his MT certification. He is working part time at Lococs as a cook to earn some $$$ for the daily trips to Albany from Tifton. He is doing extremely well in the program and I am so proud of him. Zack gets Dustin ready every morning and takes him to daycare for me. I really think he enjoys spending that time with his son. He is also responsible for dressing Dustin each morning...and I must say he does pretty good matching shirts to shorts.

Dustin: He will be 1 in October!!! I can't belive it. He is so much fun. He is saying little words here and there and really seems to understand what you are saying and doing very well. He is eating us out of house and home already(remember whose son this is..HAHA) However, he still weighs 18 pounds. He is very active and loves to crawl around. His new thing is throwing toys and food. He loves taking a bath and thinks the water is the coolest thing ever. He still has the cutest blonde curls on top and the back is getting curls too. He is trying so hard to walk. Last weekend we experienced 2 molars coming through. NOT FUN!!!

Jennifer: I am still teaching at the high school. It is a TON of work, but I love it. I really feel like the kids are enjoying science. Last week I earned myself a trip to the ER due to almost cutting my finger off.

We are settled!!!

After one month of unpacking box after box after box we are finally done!!! I can't imagine how we moved a one bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom house.
I will be teaching 10th grade Biology this school year. I am really excited.
Dustin is loving the summer. He loves to go swimming and loves being outside. We have enjoyed (minus the gnats) our late afternoon walks around the neighborhood. We have also enjoyed being back with our family and friends.
Dustin will soon be 9 months and time has flown. He is so much fun!!! He is getting a little temper (I guess from his Mom) and lets you know when he doesn't like something. He loves to eat and is starting to do well with a sippy cup. He has been weaned for over a month so I feel like I have my life back again.

Here are some pics from Father's Day, Dustin bath time, and Dustin swiming.

Teething and Moving

We had a very long and stressful weekend. We moved 99% of our items to Tifton this weekend. We have an adorable house with lots of room. Dustin has his own room with a safari theme. Hopefully getting him out of our bedroom will get him sleeping through the night.
We also got our first tooth this week...which made him extra fussy during the move.
I will post our first blog from Tifton this weekend.
Until then farewell Atlanta.....

Trying Out Blogging

I am new to this whole blogging thing. I decided to blog for those people who wanted updates on our fam, but were not Facebook, MySpace stalkers.

A summary of what has been happening in our lives:

Zack starts his medical technology program in a couple of weeks. This means we must move. We will be returning to Tifton living in an adorable house on 8th Street. Moving has also put us both out of jobs. Nothing for me yet, but we hope something will open up.

Dustin will be 7 months old on the 23rd. Talk about time flying by... it just seems like yesterday I was looking into his big blue eyes for the first time. He is so much fun now. He loves to bounce in his door swing and loves to laugh at his Daddy. We are eating solid foods very well and have not turned anything down yet. We are currently battling a very bad case of pink eye ... not fun.
